Some more breakfast-y adventures
Boulangerie Bon Matin – http://boulangeriebonmatin.co.uk/
178 Tollington Park, Stroud Green, London N4 3AJ
From the photos, you’ll be able to tell we instantly fell in love with their food. The french toast wasn’t too sweet and their croissants were to die for! (Yes, I got a pain au chocolat to take away. No shame)
Service was good as well, as was coffee. Help me figure out why we haven’t returned yet?
Phlox Books – phloxbooks.com
159 Francis Rd, London E10 6NT
Lovely bookshop – probably the only one in my area, too, so I feel like I lucked out. Coffee is good and I love their selection of books, but beware – no food except for crisps and a couple biscuits.
Wynwood Art District – http://www.wynwoodartdistrict.co.uk/
2A Chingford Rd, Walthamstow, London E17 4PJ
We weren’t particularly impressed with the quality of the coffee or the food (my croissant was dry, the coffee was meh), but how cute is the decor? We were happy campers and got an additional cup of tea (they do have nice teas) before venturing into very, very cold London.
Coffee Is My Cup Of Tea – http://coffeeismycupoftea.com/
103B Dalston Ln, London E8 1NH
It doesn’t get much better than hot chai tea latte and an excellent croissant when it’s snowing outside. Everything was delicious. It was really quiet for the first half hour I was there. Pure bliss. It got pretty busy after 11 am.
Cardiff Coffee Diary Special:
The Plan – http://theplancafecardiff.co.uk/
28-29, Morgan Arcade, St Mary St, Cardiff CF10 1AF
From our Cardiff day trip – once we got there, we were so hungry we could have devoured anything. My eggs florentine were pretty good, coffee was ok – service was really slow though.
